Detailed Day to Day Itinerary

We will drive you straight to your hotel in private vehicle as soon as you land at Tribhuvan International Airport at Kathmandu. We will give you short briefing on our final agreed program. And if you are the first time traveler in Nepal we will give information about restaurant, ATM, money exchanges and other useful information until we meet for next day.


There are various major cultural historical and religious places around Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur for sightseeing. Pashupatinath, Bauddhanath, Swayambhunath, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Kathmandu Durbar Square and Patan Durbar square are our top lists. Most of them are listed on UNESCO world heritage sites. Later in the evening we will arrange dinner with your trekking guide so you can know each other and talk about your trekking itineraries.


The only transportation to reach the Syabrubeshi is by road transportation. We strongly suggest you private vehicle over local vehicle because of the long tiring off-road driving. Couple of hours downhill from Kathmandu valley and we will drive by the bank of river till we reach Trishuli where we take lunch. The path from Trishuli to uphill narrow remote and bumpy till we reach Dhunche. We already can feel the change in vegetation and landscape as we reach Syabrubeshi. Syabrubeshi is a small town influenced by Tamang culture and is a hub for trekking tourists.


After your breakfast in Syabrubeshi we start our trekking crossing the suspension bridge. We continue with gentle path with small ups by the bank of Langtang Khola. Lower temperate vegetation mostly dominate the rocky path. Rohododendron ,oak and bamboo are the major plants that makes the forest dense and damp. After crossing the suspension bridge we climb steep to reach Lama Hotel. Lama Hotel is simply cluster of trekking tea houses surrounded by huge cliffs and dense forest.


The path extends as much as similar landscape along with temperate kind of vegetation till we reach Ghodetabela. The vegetation with Rohodendondron forest with pine trees is ideal habitat for Himalayan Bear and Red Panda. The local people more often claims spotting these animals around this region. The drop in temperature means you are in subalpine region. More three hour walk from Ghodetabela we are in Langtang village a subalpine village. We can see open majestic Langtang valley.


Today the path is very easy,gentle and short .We are heading much more to wide and deep valley of Langtang. Abundance number of small manis, chortens and prayer wheels are seen around as we pass-by. You can see many Snow capped peaks and massif glacier as you walk further. Langtnag Li-rung with height of 7234m is the highest peak we see. After reaching Kyanjing Gompa we will make brief excursion around the famous cheese factory and the Buddhist monastery at the top of village.


We will set some physical and mental challenges for today by exploring around Tserko-ri (5030m). The climb is uphill in yak-pasture till we reach the top of the hill. The magnificent views of all the peaks of Langtang Himal ranges and Ganesh Himal ranges from top of the Tseko-ri around on 360 degree angle will blow you away. After spending splendid moments we descend down to Kyanjing Gompa and have leisure time for rest of the afternoon.


We head back to Lama Hotel after taking breakfast in Kyanjing Gompa. The trail is downhill passing by Langtang Village and Ghodetabela. We can still have some glimpse of those mountains and peaks on your backside as you trek down to Lama Hotel.


The trail is still descending furthermore by the bank of Langtang Khola. Trekking between the rhododendron, bamboo and oak forest is mesmerizing on itself. You can enjoy the last trekking dinner with your guide and porter as a tribute to their hard work for making your trekking successful.


We drive back to Kathmandu from Syabrubeshi. The road is bumpy narrow and zig zag but the landscapes and the people around you will make your drive easy and fun.

There is minimal risk of Acute Mountain Sickness(AMS) in Langtang trekking region however you always need to be alert.

17. What should I do if I get Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS)?
We are always concerned with your safety. We suggest talking with your guide ASAP and descend to safe altitude and if the situation doesn’t get any better we evacuate you immediately with helicopter and take you for further medical examination.
