Detailed Day to Day Itinerary

We will drive you straight to your hotel in private vehicle. We will give you short briefing on our final agreed program.And if you are the first time traveler in Nepal we will give information about restaurant, ATMs, money exchanger and other useful information until we meet for next day.


There are various major cultural historical and religious places around Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur for sightseeing. Pashupatinath,Bauddhanath,Swayambhunath,Bhaktapur Durbar Square,Kathmandu Durbar Square and Patan Durbar square are our top lists. Most of them are listed on UNESCO world heritage sites. Later in the evening we will arrange dinner with your trekking guide so you can know each other and talk about your trekking itineraries.


The only transportation to reach the Syabrubeshi is by road transportation. We strongly suggest you private vehicle over local vehicle because of the long tiring off-road driving. Couple of hours downhill from Kathmandu valley and we will drive by the bank of river till we reach Trishuli where we take lunch. The path from Trishuli is uphill narrow remote and bumpy till we reach Dhunche. We already can feel the change in vegetation and landscape as we reach Syabrubeshi. Syabrubeshi is a small town influenced by Tamang culture and is a hub for langtang trekkers.


After your breakfast in Syabrubeshi we start our trekking crossing the suspension bridge. We continue through gentle path with small ups by the bank of Langtang Khola. Lower temperate vegetation mostly dominate the rocky path. Rohododendron ,oak and bamboo are the major plants that makes the forest dense and damp .After crossing the suspension bridge we climb steep up to reach Lama Hotel.Lama hotel is simply a cluster of trekking tea houses surrounded by huge cliffs and dense forest.


The path extends as much as similar landscape along with temperate vegetation till we reach Ghodetabela. The Rohodendondron forest with pine trees is ideal habitat for Himalayan Bear and Red Panda. The local people more often claims of spotting these animals around this region. The drop in temperature means you are gradually on subalpine region. More three hour walk from Ghodetabela and we are in Langtang village a sub-alpine village.We can see open majestic Langtang valley.


Today the path is very easy,gentle and short .We are heading much more to wide and deep valley of Langtang. Abundance number of small manis, chortens and prayer wheels are seen around as we pass-by. You can see many Snow capped peaks and massif glacier as you walk further. Langtnag Li-rung with height of 7234m is the highest peak we see. After reaching Kyanjing Gompa we will make brief excursion around the famous cheese factory and the Buddhist monastery at the top of village.


Today we will set some physical and mental challenges on own self by exploring around Tserko-ri. The climb is uphill in yak-pasture till we reach the top of the hill. The magnificent views of all the peaks of Langtang Himal ranges and Ganesh Himal ranges from top of the Tseko-ri around you will blow you away. After spending splendid moments we descend down to Kyanjing Gompa and have leisure time for rest of the afternoon.


Today we head back to Lama Hotel after taking breakfast in Kyanjing Gompa. The trail is downhill passing by Langtang Village and Ghodetabela. We can still have some glimpse of those mountains and peaks on your backside as you trek down to Lama Hotel.


The trail is still descending furthermore by the bank of Langtang Khola. Trekking between the rhododendron and oak forest is mesmerizing on itself. We turn left and make steep climb to reach another Tamang Village Thulo Syabru. Again you trek in dense forest of oak rhododendron and bamboo to reach Thulo Syabru.


The morning starts with easy and gentle climb on open pasture field .We can see all the Langtang Himal ranges on our backside. The trail continues up with small forest alongside till we reach the top of Dimsa village. The village-top again offers excellent view of all the glaciers and mountain ranges of Langtang region. Our trek proceeds furthermore fairly straight on in between huge Himalayan pine forest till we reach Singompa, the gateway to Gosaikunda .You can buy some yak cheese for your relatives in Singompa since it is one of the renowned place for cheese.


From Singompa the vegetation and landscape seems to be changing as we head to alpine region.The path is fairly easy with gentle climb till we reach Cholongpati. All those big pine and oak trees and forest disappears as we climb to the Lauribinayak. The place is well known for spotting red panda. From Cholongpati it is steep up to reach the top of Lauribinayak. The view from the top is very beautiful as you can see all the possible mountain ranges of Langtang Annapurna Hiunchuli and Ganesh Himal with 360 degree angle. The path is easy and gentle till you reach Gosaikunda lake.You can see numerous small lakes before reaching Gosaikunda lake;a sacred icy lake for Hindu pilgrimages. Every year in August thousand of Hindu pilgrimages visit the lake to take a holy bath.


From Gosaikunda lake the path keeps ascending up to Lauribinayak pass(4610m). Again there are numerous small and big lakes seen around as you trek towards the pass. The path is icy and rocky without any sort of vegetation except meadows .You can see numerous snow capped peaks on your both left and right hand sides . From pass the view is magnificent that divides snowline and alpine.We descend down to Melamchi valley habitat of Hyalmo community(Sherpa) from where the term Helambu has been coined.The upper temperate vegetation reappears as we reach Ghopte making the landscape favorable.


The trek is uphill and downhill to Melamchigaon. We walk through dense forest. We still can see mountain ranges far away in northern part. We cross two suspension bridges before reaching Melamchi gaon.The village is beautiful with old monasteries and chortens. You can see crop fields around the village thus making cultivation and animal husbandry main occupation of people.


Today we pass through dense forest uphill until reaching hilltop Ama Yangri which has small Budhhist Stupa.The top offers the magnificient view of Shishapangma and langtang ranges. We trek down by the dense forest till we reach the settlement of interesting Hyalmo community group in Tarkeghyang.


Sermanthang is a small village with community of Hyalmo. We pass green dense forest as we trek down to Sermanthang. You can see small manis and chortens on the trail. Beautiful langtang and jugal himal ranges on horizon makes the trekking mesmerizing.You can enjoy the last trekking dinner with guide and porter as a tribute to their hard work for making your trekking successful.


Today is the last day of trekking. We pass lots of small settlements green forest and terraced crop fields as we trek to Melamchi Bazar a small town. From here we drive to Kathmandu enjoying small hills around and cloudy mountain ranges at the far distant.
