Jungle Safari and bird watching at Bardiya National park indeed is another popular activity in Nepal for wildlife and nature enthusiast. Interestingly, the chances to spot Royal Bengal tiger is maximum at this National park. Many researchers and wildlife experts spend numerous days and nights at Bardiya National park for a glimpse of Royal Bengal tiger.

Bardiya National park is one of the most unexplored wildlife National Park in Nepal. Listed on the year 1988 it covers the area of 968 Sq.km.The National park mostly has a dense deciduous forest with rich open grassland a perfect habitat for wild animals. The National park records 53 mammals, 23 reptiles and 407 species of birds. In fact, Bardiya national park is an ideal place to spot Royal Bengal Tiger in comparison to other wildlife parks. In addition, you can see wild Asian elephant, one-horn rhinoceros, and deer on open grassland. Bengal florican, lesser florican, peafowl, sarus crane, white-rumped vulture are few species of birds on long lists. The Karnali river is also home for mugger crocodiles, Gharial, and Gangetic dolphins.

Detailed Day to Day Itinerary

We will drive you straight to your hotel in private vehicle as soon as you land at Tribhuvan International Airport of Kathmandu. We will give short briefing on our final agreed program and if you are the first time traveler in Nepal we provide general information on restaurant, ATM, money exchanges until we meet for next day.


Early in the morning before breakfast we drive you to domestic Airport for mountain flight to see the magnificent mountains and peak across Himalaya ranges .After breakfast in your hotel the day starts for sightseeing around Bhaktapur and Kathmandu with highly qualified tour guide. Bhaktapur Durbar square is ancient Royal palace courtyard with archeological monuments and historical significance. Towering temples, unique and ancient archeology and local custom and tradition of people are amazing to explore. . Next we visit religious temple Pashupatinath a holy site for Hindu community all across the globe. The final will be Baudhhanath the largest stupa of Nepal highly cherished by Buddhist.


You can reach Nepalgunj by road transportation or flight depending upon your budget and time frame but we highly recommend you to take flight. Upon reaching Bardiya a short briefing is given about your program and after lunch you will walk around authentic Tharu Village to enjoy their culture and tradition. We also visit crocodile breeding centre. In the evening you can enjoy magnificent sunset as well. The day is finally over after enjoying Tharu cultural dance and campfire.


After your breakfast we will do elephant safari for in deep jungle with highly qualified guide. It is always great opportunity to see numerous wild mammals including Asian elephant, different species of deer, wild boar, golden jackal and various species of birds like Bengal florican, lesser florican, peafowl, sarus crane, white rumped vulture.You can see mugger crocodiles ,Gharial at the bank of Karnali river and beautiful species of fresh water dolphin, Gangetic dolphin. Upon returning back you will enjoy Tharu cultural dances with camp fire.


We will start a day by walking around the authentic village of Tharu community to understand their culture and tradition. Today we do nature-walk deep in the jungle to understand the real surrounding and eco system of of the Park since it is always great opportunity to see birds, mammal and arthropod we missed earlier day. After returning back we enjoy the great sunset view on horizon and enjoy the evening looking the pictures we took during the trip.


A flight from Nepalgunj to Kathmandu saves enormous amount of energy and time to explore remaining monuments, Swayambhu Nath temple and Kathmandu Durbar square .Kathmandu Durbar square is ancient Royal palace courtyard decorated with lots of archeological heritages. The site carries a lot of historical and cultural value. The next spot will Swayambhunath a religious monument equally cherished by Hindus and Buddhists. The Kathmandu valley looks spectacular from the top of the stupa yard. You may take a short walk around busy Nepali local market before sealing your day.
