Detailed Day to Day Itinerary

We will drive you straight to your hotel in private vehicle as soon as you land at Tribhuvan International Airport of Kathmandu. We will give you short briefing on our final agreed program. And if you are the first time traveler in Nepal we will give information about restaurant, ATM, money exchanges and other useful information until we meet for next day.


There are various major cultural historical and religious places around Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur for sightseeing. Pashupatinath, Bauddhanath, Swayambhunath, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Kathmandu Durbar Square and Patan Durbar square are our top lists. Most of them are listed on UNESCO world heritage sites. Later in the evening we will arrange dinner with your trekking guide so you can know each other and talk about your trekking itineraries .


If you want to drive to Pokhara it is always better to start in the morning after your breakfast, it will be little tiring day due to 6-7 hour drive. Driving from Kathmandu offers you to enjoy interesting zigzag road of hilly part of Nepal along with diversified culture, landscape and people all the way to Pokhara. The flight is short from Kathmandu to Pokhara but you can have leisure time to spend around lake-side of Pokhara, which is always a happening place for the visitors.


After your breakfast in Pokhara hotel, you will drive to Birethanti by a private car for about one and half hour. Reaching upon Birethanti, you can take a short tea break while porter arranges his equipment to carry your baggage. You will climb gentle up seeing small houses and tea houses passing terraced crop fields. Relatively it is easy climb until you reach Tikhedhunga (1495m).You can discuss with your guide whether to trek to Ulleri or tostay in Tikhedhunga beforehand ,since both options are available . After crossing the suspension bridge and 2 hr steep climbing on stone stairs which is about 2 hour steep walking, you can reach small settlement of Magar, Ulleri. You can see small glimpse Annapurna South on the way.


From Ulleri the climb is gentle ,yet more stone stairs which some trekkers find monotonous and boring .After walking about one hour you will reach another small settlement ,Banthanti from where damp and very dense rhododendron forest starts making you feel the gradual increase in altitude and decrease in temperature for the first time during trekking. Small natural waterfalls and streams are seen around as your trekking continues uphill. It will take around 5 to 6 hr to reach you to Ghorepani from Ulleri which is the settlement of ethnic group Gurung.


Today we climb to Poonhill early in the morning to see magnificent sunrise which is about one and half hour uphill walk. The earliest sun ray that strikes the mountain and peaks makes them to appear cluster of orange gemstones; Mount Dhaulagiri ,Mount Annapurna, Fishtail and other snow capped peaks looks really glamorous .After spending your excellent moment in Poonhill you will descend down to Ghorepani. After your breakfast in Ghorepani, the trail is fairly easy and gentle. The dry and narrow trekking trail starts to appear damp and slippery as you trek down to Banthanti, a small habitat in the middle of forest by the side of small stream. The trek continues by the bank of same stream; climb up about an hour crossing small bridge into dense upper temperate forest of oak, and rhododendron broken by lower alpine trees to reach Tadapani.


The trekking trail is downhill in between lush green forest of rhododendron, oak and pine. Downhill 45 mins you reach Chuile .You trek downhill to reach Gurjung crossing a suspension bridge. The path seems to be more or less easy and fair with small ups and downs till you reach Chhomrong from Gurjung which is about approximately 2 hr walk. Chhomrong is the only gateway to Annapurna Base Camp or Annapurna sanctuary trekking.You can enjoy the beautiful sight of Annapurna South and Himchuli from Chhomrong.


From Chhomrong trekker can see really adorable view of Annapurna south (7219m) Himchuli(6441m) and Fishtail(6993m).Your day starts after breakfast retracing the same trail you took on previous day for about an hour and after descending an hour you will reach down to Kimrong Khola. Most of the people engage themselves in farming few catering services for tourist. After crossing the bridge you will climb steep up in between forest to reach Kimrong Danda. Mules are the main means of transportation around here so always be careful to give them side. Now the trial is more or less flat and you can see identical clustered houses from far away. This beautiful village is Ghandruk, typically settlement of Gurung.


Steep climb down from Ghandruk for an hour you will reach Kyumi. After crossing the Modi river you will gently climb to Landruk. The flat trail from Landruk gradually starts to rise steeply before reaching Deurali. It is worth to rest in Deurali for a tea break. If the weather is not foggy the place is beautiful allowing you to have magnificent view around. From here the trail is gentle and easy down. Rhododendron forest is the major vegetation seen around.You can enjoy the last trekking dinner with your guide and porter as a tribute to their hard work for making your trekking successful.


Today is the last day of trekking. You will walk easy and flat trail enjoying rhododendron forest. You will reach Dhampus and after couple of hour walking down from Dhampus you will reach Phedi. From phedi you will take a private car to Pokhara which takes about an hour to reach.In the evening you can walk around lake side which is always happening place for tourists.


From Pokhara either you can take a short flight or take a private transportation to Kathmandu accordingly to the agreement we made before the start of trek.


Our office representative will be in your hotel 3 hour prior your flight time in order to drop you at Tribhuvan International Airport.

There is minimal risk of Acute Mountain Sickness(AMS)during this trekking however you need to be alert.
